The following are the results of the first Coaches Poll for 2015-2016!
Each debater received 25 points for a 1st place vote, 24 for a 2nd place vote, etc. The total points were then divided by eligible ballots (a ballot from the debater’s school doesn’t count). In parentheses are the previous rank and first place votes.

It is a true example of the misogyny in our community that hunter college NP is unranked. How on earth is that even possible?
You win a sems bid, an octos RR, and the octos bid, and you’re ranked below people who haven’t even debated this year and people you’ve defeated in out rounds?
I’m truly sorry Nina, I know we’ve never met but that’s gross. Hopefully you continue rampaging across the top 25 and they have no choice but to properly and fairly rank you where you should be. Full disclosure I ranked Nina 2nd.
Please read the caveats/notes at the top.
These ballots were all filled out before the first tournament of the season — before Nina won Yale, Valley RR, and Valley. I haven’t looked at any of the ballots for the 2nd poll yet, but I imagine that she’ll be very highly ranked. She was near the top of my ballot as well.
Fyi, Yale is a quarters bid. All the more reason she should be ranked.
